Forte, who is both President of ISCT and CEO of the stem cell biotech Kiji Therapeutics, has built his ISCT presidency around three priorities – global presence for local impact, ethics, and patient access – and added a fourth pillar to the society: clinical.
ISCT has grown from a community of mostly basic scientists to a society where regulators, academics, industry and clinicians are all in the same room to discuss the year ahead.
